    1. Base coat grips. One thin layer on a bare nail, so colour has something to hold on to.
    2. Two thin colour coats. Thin coats cure properly and stay flat instead of lifting at the edges.
    3. Top coat seals the edge. Brush over the free edge of the nail, which is where chips start.

    Day seven, side by side

    Cheap polish on the left, chipping at the tips. Nailkind with base and top coat on the right, still even a week in.
