    Step 1 · Base coat

    The first coat of every manicure. Undercover smooths and blurs the nail, so your colour goes on evenly, looks glossier and lasts longer.

    Good to know: it looks cloudy in the bottle. That is normal.

    Pick it if you wear nail colour. Got deep ridges? Pick Ridge Filler instead. Soft nails that break? Pick Hard to Resist.

    How to use One thin coat on clean, dry nails. Let it dry, add two coats of colour, then finish with Mist You (gloss) or Mr Volume (gel look).

    1. Base coat grips. One thin layer on a bare nail, so colour has something to hold on to.
    2. Two thin colour coats. Thin coats cure properly and stay flat instead of lifting at the edges.
    3. Top coat seals the edge. Brush over the free edge of the nail, which is where chips start.

    Day seven, side by side
